Building The Raft is a night of images, sounds and live performances, an expanded, experimental, work in progress presentation of Chiara Ambrosio’s upcoming feature film ‘RAFT, A London Story’.
Taking London as a starting point for journeys, storytelling, debate and reverie, this night will introduce a host of groundbreaking artists, poets, performers and thinkers, whose commitment to their work contributes to the survival of a particular kind of urban poetics, one that casts the city as a stage for resistance, communion and growth.
Together we will conjure the image of a city that, behind its chrome and glass facades, still shivers with expectation, energy and vision, and whose soil still sprouts the wild fruit of collective dreaming.
Featuring live performance and interventions by Chiara Ambrosio, John Bently, Bird Radio, James Hesford, Alfia Nakipbekova, Nawroz Oramari, Jeremy Reed, Joanne Roberts, and Zashiki Warashi Taiko and Flute duo.
