ACCESSIBILITY

Artslineonline.com came round and gave us this review regarding disabled access to our venue...

ACCESS AREAS

Notes for Venues with multiple areas
The gallery is located on the ground floor of the building. As the Horse Hospital used to be a stable, it doesn’t have a staircase, but instead a large ramp, leading to the first floor. However, the ramp is made of cobble stones, and there are wooden slats sticking out of the stone about every half metre. This makes it incredibly difficult to push a wheelchair up to the first floor, however, it was possible, and the staff were very friendly and helped us as much as possible. Once in the upstairs gallery, again the floor is cobbled, and very uneven. The manager of the Horse Hospital did say that he had got a quote for a lift, and was looking into applying for a grant, or some form of funding to finance it.
