A three day residency of workshop shows from My New Band Believe: a core trio of King David Ike-Elechi, Cameron Picton, and Caius Williams will be joined by Tara Cunningham, Gabriel Gold, and Steve Noble on consecutive nights.

Cameron Picton is a guitarist, bassist, and songwriter formerly of Black Midi currently working with a new band, My New Band Believe, alongside solo work. He has released three projects as Camera Picture and is working on new solo, band, and collaborative work to be released in the near future.


Tara Cunningham is a guitarist and composer whose work focusses on both improvisation, and pushing the textural boundaries of her instrument. Ongoing projects include; duo with bassist Caius Williams and acid-jazz group Red Snapper. She has also recently recorded part of Jack Cooper’s Modern Nature for their fourth studio album, as well as currently working with drummer Seb Rochford on his latest project for 6 guitars.


Gabriel Gold


King David Ike-Elechi is a Newcastle-based drummer and a co-founder of the jazz quintet Knats.


Steve Noble is London's leading drummer, a fearless and constantly inventive improviser whose super-precise, ultra-propulsive and hyper-detailed playing has galvanized encounters with Derek Bailey, Matthew Shipp, Ishmael Wadada Leo Smith, Stephen O'Malley, Joe McPhee, Rhodri Davies and many, many more. 

In the early eighties, Noble played with the Nigerian master drummer Elkan Ogunde, Rip Rig and Panic, Brion Gysin and the Bow Gamelan Ensemble, before going on to work with the pianist Alex Maguire and with Derek Bailey (including Company Weeks 1987, 89 and 90). He was featured in the Bailey's excellent TV series on Improvisation for Channel 4 based on his book Improvisation; its nature and practise. He has toured and performed throughout Europe, Africa and America and currently leads the groups N.E.W (with John Edwards and Alex Ward) and DECOY (with John Edwards and Alexander Hawkins). 


Caius Williams is a musician from London who plays the double bass, guitar, and bass guitar. He works in collaboration with others, alongside an ongoing solo project, and often works with improvisation.

Some projects include Crosspiece (with Theodora Laird), a duo with guitarist Tara Cunningham, alongside recent performances or collaborations with Lifetones (Charles Bullen of This Heat), Steve Noble, feeo, Daniel O’Sullivan, Mark Sanders, Sachiko M, Tom Challenger, Maggie Nicols, Mark Wastell, amongst others.

Caius has been running the GRAIN series at Avalon Cafe in Bermondsey for the last 3 years, which is focussed on programming new and adventurous music and nurturing a growing community with cross-scene and cross-generational collaboration.


Rose Bell is an experimental musician, sound artist, and art therapist from London. After studying modular synthesis and sound design in Tbilisi, she now works with field recordings and samples to create immersive sonic environments. Her performances have been featured on Mutant Radio and Radio Alhara, and she regularly collaborates with the Palestine Institute of Sustainability and Biodiversity to support the development of interactive, sound-based exhibits.
