Michael Speers (b.1992) is a drummer, sound artist and researcher from County Down, Ireland.
Currently a PhD student at SARC: Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Sound and Music, Belfast.
His practice incorporates percussion, feedback, digital synthesis and environmental sound in the creation of improvised performances, site-specific sound installations and electroacoustic compositions.
He has performed internationally in venues such as: Café OTO; LOM; Les Instants Chavirés; Les Ateliers Claus; Morphine Raum; SARC Sonic Lab; National Concert Hall (Dublin) and at Sonic Acts Festival.

Mosquito Farm began in 2022, an artist's band and collaboration between Maddie Banwell and Grace Black. Their performances utilize an array of collected or handmade instruments, props and devices - these can be mechanical, electronic or acoustic. Mechanisms are either designed from scratch, or mis-used and re-purposed consumer electronics like computer fans or bathroom extractors. These can interact with various more conventional instruments too.
Usually fully amplified, they move between musicality and noise, performance art and composition, making references to genres and styles, but never sitting firmly in one place. With drones, percussion and a variety of played strings they move between microtonal harmony and heavy distortion. Noisy, lively, sometimes messy, their work can seem on the verge of collapse.
Li Song is a London-based musician and computer programmer. He performs improvised music with his computer and composes music using electronics and acoustic instruments. His collaborative project with Zhu Wenbo, No Performance, focuses on compositions using environment sounds, acoustic instruments, computer algorithms, and random sequence. He is also a member of computer network music ensemble and research group, [ _ _ _ ], focusing on algorithmic collaboration. Recent works include Two Snare Drums (Infant Tree 2022), [ _ _ _ ] (with Jia Liu and Shuoxin Tan, SUPERPANG 2022) and Text (with Zhu Wenbo, Zoomin' Night 2021).
Regan Bowering is a percussionist, improviser and sound artist based in London. Her solo work explores various combinations of drums and percussion, objects, amps, speakers, and feedback. Her debut album “Solos for _ _ _ _ Spaces” (Dec 2023 on Bezirk Tapes) was described as “a play of contrasts, contradicting voluminous expressions with confined phrases, taming resounding feedback with faint percussive flutters, but one that feels driven by the desire to craft electrifying drama rather than pure autotelic dissonance.” (The Quietus). She is one third of a collaborative project with Li Song and Conal Blake, with two releases: “2 Movements” (Feedback Moves, 2024) and "Music for Snare Drums and Portable Speakers" (Infant Tree, 2023). Her debut LP “A Technology of Feeling” was released January 2026 on Infant Tree.
Conal Blake is a musician from Glasgow. He currently plays solo and improvises with Li Song and Regan Bowering, using electronics and percussion. He also runs the Feedback Moves label.
