What if space travel belonged to everyone? And what if escaping Earth meant more than simply reproducing the capitalist nightmare somewhere else?

Founded in 1995, the Association of Autonomous Astronauts (AAA) set out to answer these questions (and more beside). Over the course of its five-year plan, the AAA attempted to wrestle space exploration from the grip of states, corporations and the military through the establishment of community controlled space programs.

Combining autonomist politics, esoteric thought, rave culture, science fiction and a fiercely DIY imagination, the AAA sought to escape the planetary work machine and build other worlds in the here and now.

See You in Space: Selected Materials of the Association of Autonomous Astronauts brings together the archival transmissions, provocations and cosmic ambitions of this legendary network alongside newly commissioned essays and propositions: from raves in space and intergalactic conferences to anti-militarist struggles, zero-gravity speculation and visions of post-capitalist futures, this book has everything the budding astronaut may need to plan their expedition.

Join Agit Press for an evening of presentations, experimental music and autonomous transmissions from the outer limits of the political imagination.

Sets from: DJ Sonny Ray, DJ Bunnyhausen, DJ Balli, and Xylitol.

The first 500 copies of the book include a limited-edition orange 7” flexi-disc featuring a new track composed from material taken from the AAA’s legendary Rave in Space album (1999).

Come for the book, stay for the transmission.
All autonomous astronauts welcome.
Ticket holders receive a discounted copy of the book.
