Over a seven year period artist Pandora Vaughan produced a series of elaborate needlepoint works based on the architectural plans of prisons, asylums & fortresses. This book brings them all together, with follow on pieces, linking their inspiration with written contributions from Regi Mentle, a Californian incarcerated for 32 years. The book deals with time, space and confinement. With a foreword by Jen Budney.
The exhibition features all the pieces in the book and newer work in a variety of media stemming from the book’s themes.
