DOGHOUSE

A tribute to Ron Asheton of the Stooges and an examination of the role rock n roll plays in our current group psyche.... plus dancing dogs!

Using Iggy and the Stooges classic track 'I Wanna be your Dog' as a catalyst, film maker Nick Abrahams explores the iconic status of the Stooges within alternative and mainstream culture in an unusual installation and film.

On the Friday 22nd October the 30 minute version of 'Doghouse' will screen for free at the Horse Hospital at 8.30 and 9.30

'Doghouse' is named after the classic Stooges album 'Funhouse', and a self-contained 3 minute excerpt from the  film will be shown within a small kennel at Tatty Devine at 236 Brick Lane  on Brick Lane, opening on Friday October 14th, accompanied by a selection of stills from the filming by Nick and acclaimed photographer Toby Amies.

Nick has previously made films and pop videos with bands such as Depeche Mode, Sigur Ros, Stereolab, and the Manic Street Preachers and is currently making a film with Turner Prize winning artist Jeremy Deller.
