Jasper is a founding member of the band caroline. Signed to Rough Trade Records they have released two albums to critical acclaim, and toured in Europe, North America, and Japan. He is a member of the improvising group Gg, and the interdisciplinary duo Meanders with Daniel S. Evans.
He holds a PhD after completing a practice-based resarch project titled “…wind-plucking-creaks-brick-bright-ebb-rusty-beach-topples…: Attuning to the More-Than-Human in Improvisatory Action-Oriented Performance Art”. He is training for Ordination in the Triratna Buddhist Order.
Jasper will be playing new songs, with help from his friends which will act as his backing band, including other members of caroline.
heka (aka Francesca Brierley) is an experimental artist and producer whose work merges folk, lo-fi electronic, field recordings and intimate songwriting into hybrid compositions. With roots in visual art and a practice influenced by collage and creative computing, she crafts music that moves fluidly between the personal and the conceptual, the organic and the digital. Her songs challenge genre boundaries while remaining emotionally resonant and sonically immersive.
Her live performances have seen her share stages with artists like John Maus, Sam Burton, bar italia, Black Country New Road , Belle and Sebastian, and The New Eves, among others, while writing, recording and/or touring for an array of projects including Drug Store Romeos, Gently Tender, Tapir!, Skydaddy, Naima Bock, Dana Gavanski, Jeremy Tuplin and collaborating on joint releases with Saint Jude and GG Skips.
