Elisabeth Klinck is a contemporary violinist, composer and performer based in Brussels, Belgium. With a background in electroacoustic composition and theatre she navigates through emotional landscapes using intimate sound textures and atmospheric tones. She studied at the Lemmensinstuut, The Royal Conservatory of Brussels and at Academy for Music & Drama in Gothenburg, where she acquired a masters in Orchestral Performance.
Klinck’s work can be an overwhelming force, but fragile at the same time. Her debut album Picture a Frame has been released on Hallow Ground (Kali Malone, FujiIIIIIIIIIIta,...) and is a beautiful collage that functions as a sonic diary for the time she spent in the Spanish Pyrenees with longtime collaborator Oscar Claus.
As a performer of composed and improvised music she often collaborates with different artists and organisations. This sense of community is as important in her music as it is in her day-to-day life. Previous collaborations include: Miet Warlop (One Song), Ben Bertrand, Lieselot Siddiki, Jarne Van Loon, OffOff Film, Kopergieterij, Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, Valgeir Sigurdsson and Nils Vermeulen and many more.
Barbie Mukoda is a London-based Flautist. Her experiments with silence and tone, has led to the artistic choice on using little to no vibrato across her three instruments; Piccolo Flute, Classical Flute and Alto Flute, whilst she explores the Improvisational realms.
Over the recent years, Barbie has played with BBC Elstree Concert Band, Lo-Fi, The London Video Game Orchestra, ONe_Orchestra New and Queen Charlotte’s Global Orchestra, recording at Abbey Road Studios and BBC Maida Vale Studios and being broadcast live over Resonance FM as a member of AMM All-Stars.
Today, Barbie's World consists of intentional music making; whether that be solo, trio, wind band, orchestral or other, she indulges in the Classical, Improvisational and Experimental, Video Game Music and Show Tunes. She finds the variety of genres and musicians she plays with, as well as the artists whose Sound-Worlds she experiences as an audience member both stimulating and inspiring for her own World Building endeavours.
Elien De Schryver is a Belgian musician and violinist based in Cambridge. With a keen interest in exploring music and sound on the violin, particularly through improvisation, her work spans various genres, including improvised music for performances and installations. Elien is also an HCPC-registered music therapist and an associate lecturer in the Music Therapy training programme at ARU. More on https://linktr.ee/eliendeschryver
