Ish & The Meantime are a new duo in the folk/jazz idiom featuring Malaga born singer-songwriter Otti Albietz (who has made 3 albums for BBE and also plays guitar and sometimes sings with Statue of Liberty Big Band and Either Ore stadium rockers Beau Flies) and jazz bass player Olie Brice who, as well as releasing numerous albums of his own in duo trio, quartet and octet formats, has also played with artists from Pat Thomas to Evan Parker, before finally going “full Danny Thompson”. Their AAsided debut single Weak Man/Little River - the first release in the Either Ore Records singles club - sold out in a few days after plays on 6 Music and Soho Radio.
Shirley Crowe tries out her new songs created in collaboration with musician Haydn Ackerley. Tonight the duo will perform with a band. Expect angelic melodies with dark and distant guitars
