In this entertaining and thought provoking monologue through the wilder corners of modern entertainment history Dr David Bramwell shares the idea that shamanism never disappeared in western culture. Instead, it donned a cunning disguise and took the ‘show’ on the road, hidden in plain sight in everything from theatre and magic to rock’n’roll.

In life and music, Emma Tricca is an explorer. Just as Davey Graham set sail for Morocco and Vashti Bunyan for the Outer Hebrides in search of their elusive muse, Rome-raised singer-songwriter Tricca has journeyed to London, New York, Texas and further afield to seek the heart of her music.
Championed by John Renbourn and Odetta at the beginning of her career , critically acclaimed songwriter/guitarist Tricca's unique style has often been compared to a cross between the 60's Greenwich Village artists, Nico and Patti Smith but follows a psychedelic path all of its own.
