Temple with the collection Sanctum Sanctorum Estpresents a vision regarding the oppression of women throughout history in all religions.

These works highlight the inequalities experienced by women to this day, highlighting the eternal strength of faith and the diversity of interpretations and impact that the word belief has on people’s lives.

On the evening of the 4th of May, as an opening event, a live performance will be performed by Mai Weisz, who will show the simultaneous duality between the female figure and the impact that the word ‘belief’ has on people’s lives. TICKETS TBC.

Other performances throughout Temple TBC.

To support Cat’s paintings Douglas Norton composed a soundtrack of ambient music that will be played to fill the room, bringing with him his personal vision on the Sanctum Sanctorum Est collection.

Cat Félix Machado is a painter, whose practice is a reflection of her fascination with natural environments and their relationship with socio-political development throughout history. Most of her work displays a personal view on political, social and religious issues.

Through the creation of worlds  where nature always has the loudest voice, her painting begins and ends in the landscape.

The musical and conceptual component of her artistic work tends to vary in each project or exhibition. Her aim is to explore other ways to express her message, offering different experiences in each of them.

As an artist who seeks much of her inspiration in the mysteries that music provides, she now brings to every exhibition an instrument with three strings and a bow, to complete her vision.
