A Tribute Event to celebrate the under-sung heroine ANNA KAVAN, author of Ice, Let Me Alone, Asylum Piece, Machines in the Head. Kavan’s visionary, surreal and poetic writing will be brought to life by her biographer, the poet Jeremy Reed, whose biography of Kavan Stranger on Earth (published by Peter Owen), chronicles her genius. The Ginger Light will accompany Reed with a film Composition & Soundscape).
Other writers and artists including Geraldine Pilgrim, Patricia Hope Scanlan and Andrew McEneff who will read and show how their work has been inspired by Kavan’s indomitable artistic courage, recognised by Patti Smith, J G Ballard, Doris Lessing and others.
