raxil4 – Andrew Page
raxil4 is multi-disciplinary sound artist Andrew Page, specialising in analogue electronic dronescapes, acoustic audio phenomenon and installation, he is active on the London sound art, improv and noise scenes. He has performed live all over Europe and the UK, many of his performances have been in non-traditional venues, often choosing to play spaces with character and interesting acoustic qualities, such as caves, churches, crypts, prison cells, psychiatric hospitals & water towers. He has also performed live and installed durational works in galleries such as Tate Modern (London), The Barbican (London), The Arnolfini (Bristol), M-HKA (Antwerp), Sonnestube (Lugano), Soundfjord (London) & GV Art (London). His works have been broadcast on radio stations internationally.

Disinformation
Disinformation is an art project whose work focuses on electricity, communications and language - exploring the creative potential of electronic messaging and laboratory technologies, investigating the psychoacoustics of recorded and transmitted speech, and examining relationships between auditory signs and their visual representations. Disinformation sound works have been described as “mesmerising”, as “hypnotic and captivating” and as “sublime" by Aesthetica magazine, and as producing “potent drug-like trances of utter black mysteriousness” by Sound Projector magazine. Disinformation gallery installations have been described by The Guardian as “some of the most beautiful installations around”. As regards the relationship between art and politics, Disinformation endorses the assertions that the medium isn’t the message and that those who argue that politics has no place in art or music make some of the most highly ideological statements of all.
Orlando Harrison
Orlando Harrison is a Musician, Sound Artist, Writer and Thought Criminal living and working in London. He has played with Alabama 3, Doctor Miasma and the Carousel of Headless Horses, Guapo and Amal Gamal. He has been the writer and presenter of the Wrong Show on resonance 104.4 and a host of Poltroon - the Literary Saloon. In 2010 he starred in a commercial for fruit Pastilles. In 2016 he was artist in residence for the Radical Voices season at Senate House Library. He identifies as pseudo-non-binary.

"GPUD0.5 is Stephen Scutt. Stephen has been making experimental sounds, noise and music using unconventional methods and DIY electronics for over 20 years. He started out in a threesome called Defacato in 1993/94 that played gigs at the now defunct 121 Anarchist Centre in Brixton and various squat parties using old reel-to-reel tape machines and Amiga computers. In 2002 GPUD was formed with Hannah Thompson working in a similar vein, building more DIY equipment and adding circuit bending to the noise, the cause and the urge. Stephen has also worked with Cindytalk. GPUD are currently under investigation by the Thought Police but don't give a flying f**k."

A year after the final performance of her 2016 sound art residency with Senate House Library and The School of Advanced Study where Hannah Thompson was Leverhulme Trust artist in residence; she is returning to the Ministry of Truth for DOUBLETHINK.
Ensconced for a year, in Senate House Library, in the enormous pyramidal structure of glittering white concrete, soaring up, terrace after terrace, 300 metres into the air (1984, G. Orwell) with field-recorders, sensors, microphones and microcontrollers receiving and transmitting the sounds of the building and people within it, from a glass studio, like a sound art telescreen in perpetual doublethink, throughout the turmoil of 2016. George Orwell and particularly his 1948 dystopian novel, 1984, was a salient presence inspiring the final installation ‘The Memory Hole Machine,’ exhibited in last year’s Being Human Festival, taking messages at the reception to the Ministry of Hope and Fear, in the London festival hub.
Throughout ‘DOUBLETHINK’ The Memory Hole Machine memories can be played back via an interactive sonic display board, designed to present the sonic archive.
Using sounds recordings, music and text from the library collections, processing voices from the past and the present, with telescreen in transmit mode for a dystopic dance through the listed and functional features of Senate House, from the basement to the flagpole. Manipulating time with gestural controllers, in interlocking, multi-scaled layers as the consequences of 2016 are revealed and the clock strikes 13.
