EXHIBITION: SAT 6th JUNE – SAT 20th JUNE, WEDS – SAT, 12 – 6PM
While beauty can be sublime and emotive, it is also cloying - something undefinable emerges in the transgressive zone between attraction and repulsion, intimacy and absence, the synthetic and the natural. First year RCA Photography students present a selection of work that explores these borders of the photographic medium where practices come apart, in the interregnum of certainty.
Each practice goes beyond traditional photographic methods of visual representation, exploring sculptural elements that work alongside the flat image, beyond passive observation.
Featuring the work of:
Hugo Dufour // Stephanie Jamieson // Jiyeon Kim // Karolina Lebek // Ania Mokrzycka // George Morris // Martin Sekera // Francesca Tamse // Kyle Zeto
