Katrina will screen a selection of old and new works including early scuzzy No-Wave video experiments I Did It (2002), rock and roll lesbian vampire film A Beautiful Death (2006), episodes of the plotless experimental hangout webseries delMarvelous (2014-15), an excerpt of her upcoming feature doc about her artist/mail carrier father, An Artist Working as a Letter Carrier, and a peek at her upcoming lesbian surf opus Beat Death / Trust in Me, a non-narrative, abstract, punk-dyke surf film and a peek at her upcoming experimental narrative feature I Got This. Other films may include Love (2019), Two Girls One Afternoon (2018), Hide Me (Woman in a Bubble) (2023), Luddite (2020), Super 8mm portraits, screentests (for a feminist revolution movie), and other surprises.

Filmed Portaits (subtitled as Screen Tests for a Feminist Revolution Movie - HD Video 2016 - ongoing - excerpt 5 min)

Various friends and acquaintances sat for portraits by way of informal conversations on camera, and speak about identity, ideas, feminism, spirituality, otherness. Many of the portraits were made immediately following the 2016 election. With Pamela Sneed, Natalya Sands, Genny Slag, Lauren Robin, Prince Panther, Jack Curious, Cid Scantlebury, Mel Elberg and more.

Super 8mm Film Portraits #1-3 (2013- edited in-camera shot on film with non diagetic sound. TRT 16 min)

Themes of violence, toxic masculinity, desire, glamour and love are explored. Portraits of Simon Chardiet: urban surfer, Eileen Myles: poet, Kara Kolodziej: motorcycle racer.

Heavy Eyeliner Basketball (HD Video - documentary film - 5min - 2009-2016 )

A documentary film about a wild women’s and gnc basketball game that takes place in New York City. Founded by a non athletic artist, who states, ‘the only rule is eyeliner.’

SLAPFIGHT! (Super 8mm film / TRT 1:55 Super 8mm Film / transferred to Video 1997-2010)

Girls slapping! Girls fighting! Girls kissing and making up! Girls revelling in the sheer ridiculousness of it all! This short film by Katrina del Mar pays homage to vintage girlsploitation/bondage films with subtle satire. Starring NYC musician/performer Betsy Todd and renowned artist/conduit of the absurd Michelley QueenofQueens.

Custom Couture Leather designer Stella Zotis tells us about her work and background.

Bringin’ Me Down (4:07 HD Video Super 8mm 2008 Music Video)

This heartbreak tale channels rage in beautiful rock ballad. Andro rocker Sarah Greenwood (GSX) sings a heart-ripping, angry ballad from the depths. Shot in Iceland and Switzerland, this video has a mysterious elemental feel.

A Beautiful Death Video (6:05 - 2006)

Called “radical” and “groundbreaking” by Nan Goldin, this lesbian vampire film features an unusual feeding frenzy and vampires playing rock ‘n’ roll and board games.

Punchin’ & Cussin’ (Super 8mm - Video - 8 min -2006)

Burlesque wrestlers & butch/femme lesbians making out and cussing in several languages whilst playing the drums, wrestling, and boxing! Rockin’ soundtrack by Texas Terri and Cherie Currie.

Nothin’ Pretty (2003 -Super 8mm Film - Video - 5:45 - short film)

Shot over the beautifully dreary skies of Brooklyn, this 4 minute film makes suffering visible in its gritty depiction of pain and loss through scraping concrete, crumbling facades, broken glass and dripping paint. “There’s nothin pretty in my world,” sings Karen Curious, the fiery frontwoman of New Professionals.

Just Do It Video (9 min - 2003)

Narrative short film Nicolette Nolan, Heather Litteer (Jessica Rabbit) and Otter star as sex workers who get drunk and plot a murder.
