An exhibition of ink drawings by Josephine Foster accompanied by paintings by Alexia Marmara. ‘The title of our show came from Josephine’s incandescent mind, one which has birthed some of my favorite songs. I saw herperforming some of her poetry at Cafe Oto in 2022, and I proudly consider this an altering moment in my existence: a purity and joyfulness I continue to hold onto very tightly. The past year has mud on its boots, and with Anew Old Adage we’ll cast the dirt away. Themes of our work unfolded serendipitously as similarities in our life paths unraveled. To have Josephine be a part of my unexpected journey with painting is a huge honor.’ - Alexia
