ABOUT “LE ACCELERATOR”:
Winner of the ‘Best Midnight Feature’ award at Columbus Ohio’s Nightmare Film Festival 2017, Thomas Eikrem’s “Le Accelerator” is the story of an assassin who goes on a spiritual journey after being tasked with taking down 10 individuals sentenced to death, for unknown reasons, across the globe. It is a death meditation – as the protagonist believes the only thing men have in common is the knowledge of their last destination: death! There is no escape. He does not make a change, he just accelerates the journey for those who are on his list. It’s a blood drenched, corpse strewn, journey that sees the protagonist discover the true meaning of life and death.
Shot on Super 8MM black and white film, “Le Accelerator” is a beautifully unfettered, Molotov mix of sex, violence, fetish and twisted fun, that seamlessly splices two hard-hitting film genres, 1960s crime and 1970s Kung Fu, to create something so timeless it hurts.
