As part of The Horse Hospital’s global underground initiative, we are proud to present to you an exhibition STRAIGHT OUTTA THE BALKANS, DUMMY CORPS.
DUMMY CORPS is a project of stalwarts of the Republic Of Bulgaria’s future,
visual and musical artist Georgi Draganov Roujev, carried out in creative collaboration with the designer Emil Alexandrov Kotsev and the DJ Dimitar Mladenov Dimirrov, combining video, slide, macro-poster and sound.
Mixing Winston Smith and Gee Vaucher style collage with the 3D montage, DUMMY CORPS is a multi-media presentation including the musical album TATTOO KIDS PHOBIA, experimental movie DUMMY Co and slide show TATTOO KIDS PHOBIA with visuals supporting the music.
TATTOO KIDS PHOBIA – the album - vicious experimental ethno-noise composition author with industrial elements and drum’n’bass elements. The album was recorded in the studio of Nikola Donchev.
DUMMY Co - the film - a 60 minute motion picture experiment with the participation of the authors of the project as well as with other visual artists. It was produced in the studio of the visual artist Alexander Sokerov.
TATTOO KIDS PHOBIA – the slide show - a 30 minute cartoon movie experiment amalgamating the creative searches of George Roujev and the group during the last few years.
TATTOO KIDS PHOBIA – the installation - an exhibition of macro-posters with including stills from the film, combing elements of the above.

Dummy Co is an ever self-sustaining system of Mystic Correspondence.
The trip to the axis of the world is an unbroken consequential chain to which the participants are sentenced. The meaning of the ritual of carrying over the dummy is in the creation and sustain of the Rhythm. In the ritual the allegory is a means of exposing with an effect of alienation through which the participant does not identify himself with his mask under the conditions of a ghostly world. The basic goal is challenging optimism and at the same time keeping the major mission of the ritual : sustaining of the Rhythm. In a story the pauses between the expressions are more important, since they create the rhythm. Death to the narrative!
Our work is a symbolic expression of several processes, which should be interpreted depending on the level of realization of transmutation and transformation.
Uniting of oppositions but only as a symbol of knowledge, i.e. not particularly active perfection through which the center of the Ultra-world should be reached and a return to the beginning or identification with extra-terrestrials should be accomplished. The group uses electronic samples, industrial sounds, interpretations of symbols as keys to the hidden meaning of the fate of creation and hermetic propagation. George Roujev and Emil Kozev form the group for visual projects ‘Octoberon’. Together with Targy ( Dimitar Dimitrov) they have established the group Dummy Co. Dimitar Dimitrov takes part in HMSU origination, founded in 1999 by drum and bass DJs and producers of open air festivals. Ogonek and Cooh one of the best drum and bass producers in Bulgaria would play support to Dummy Co
In the sound the voice of the London underground legend Stewart Home ( his book Blowjob was recently published in Bulgaria by Krotal Publishing ) was used.
Octoberon Co. is the principle cover designer of Krotal Publishing Co books, including Irvine Welsh’s cult novels ‘Trainspotting’ and ‘Porno’
Besides the voice of Stewart Home, in the sound the voices of Albert Camus, Alehandro Dolina, Cheb Khaled and Destiny’s Child were used as well as samples from Vanessa Da Mata, Marlene Dietrich, Orkiestra Antyczna, Britten were used.
