Events @ The Calder Bookshop April 2003

Events planned for April at the Calder Bookshop. Attendances were high in March and they would recommend that you call the bookshop before an event to check on seating availability and to reserve a place.

When his friend Robert Pinget adapted Samuel Beckett’s All That Fall for French television - much against the latter’s will - Beckett responded by translating and vastly changing Pinget’s La Manivelle into an English play. Two retired old soldiers meet again and share their memories in a comic and poignant picture of old age.
