Oh Lover Boy

an exhibition of new work
Exhibition: 11th April – 13th May 2000

An installation of seven large collages, Oh Lover Boy is a combination of complicated personal confession and political confrontation. The kitsch meets the macabre in a frenzied juxtaposition of images and accumulation of objects.
A ten-year hoard of postcards, playing cards, invitations and magazine pages, photographs and pornography are complemeted by children's toys, personal gifts, sex aids, George Michael, relics from past performances and the eponymous Red Cross. Intimate signs of memory ricochet with clues to understanding Frank B's work as a whole.
A documentary video showreel featuring past performances will also be included in the exhibition and there will be a special kinoKULTURE film show curated by the artist.
